Our Story

The Soundpost Sessions is a concert series that supports the Colorado music scene by providing a listening-room experience emphasizing great sound quality. The series features primarily original acts, both local and touring. Beginning in March 2019, the concert series was hosted at La Vita Bella Café in Downtown Longmont.

In Summer 2021, The Soundpost Sessions began presenting shows at Longmont Public Media in the historic Carnegie Library building at 457 4th Ave., where the shows were recorded for broadcast in front of a live studio audience.

In Spring 2022, The Soundpost Sessions expanded to a new venue at The Times Collaborative in downtown Longmont. This larger venue improved accommodations for growing audiences, and in Winter 2024 became the regular venue for our monthly concerts. Soundpost Sessions shows are artfully curated, featuring full-length performances by two different artists.

In 2024 we also launched Mixtape, a new songwriter-in-the-round series held monthly on Thursday evenings at The Times Collaborative.

We are passionate about music and our thriving local music scene in Colorado! With generous contributions from our patrons and sponsors, The Soundpost Sessions champions the local music economy by ensuring musicians are always paid for their performance.
